With a stronger emphasis on the 3-dimensional world around you, feel free to climb up walls in any direction and explore the world! Monster Hunter 4 also features the mechanic of a traveling base camp. The fighting mechanics have also been modified! Hunters can now grab onto monsters while attacking them, but monsters will also use the improved environment to their advantage - allowing much more complexity in your strategy! To the dismay of some, and the excitement of others: underwater battles have been removed.
